Cath Moore is a groundwater scientist and modeller with more than 30 years of experience across local government, groundwater consultancies and research organisations in New Zealand and Australia. She is a principal scientist at Earth Sciences New Zealand focusing on enhancing model-based decision support for the management of groundwater. She is also currently a part-time member of the Flinders University-led Groundwater Modelling Decision Support Initiative. Her modelling interests include developing tools for robust decision-support modelling, quantifying model predictive uncertainty, identifying cost-effective data acquisition and monitoring strategies, and harvesting novel sources of information. Her current work focusses on tools to enhance the management of freshwater resources alongside communities under increasing land-use and climate pressures.
