Edouard is currently doing his PhD at the University of Auckland, where his research focuses on understanding the long-term morphological response of New Zealand’s estuarine systems in the context of sea-level rise. Using numerical models, he aims to improve our understanding of the key estuarine drivers influencing responses to sea-level rise, with the aim of supporting long-term coastal management. His scientific approach differs from traditional methods in that it uses an equilibrium-based modelling framework, instead of process-based models. This allows him to investigate long term estuarine morphological changes (decades to centuries).
