Tim Naish

Tim Naish NZAM, FRSNZ is Professor in Earth Sciences at the Antarctic Research Centre, Te Herenga Waka Victoria University of Wellington. He is Co-leader of the MBIE Endeavour research programmes Te Ao Hurihuri: Te Ao Hou – Our Changing Coast and Te Tai Pari o Aotearoa – NZ SeaRise. Tim has previously served as a Lead Author for the IPCC and Chair and Science Programme Co-leader of the World Climate Research Programme, as well as a member of its joint scientific committee.
Tim’s research focuses on past, present and future climate change with specific emphasis on how the Antarctic ice sheets respond to climate change and influence global sea level.
